Jean was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, attended the Cleveland Institute of Art and graduated from Ohio University with a B.F.A. in 1968. In her own words... “The focus of my work is to meld abstract composition with objects in reality. I use acrylic paint to create luminosity, volume, transparency and density in an effort to obtain richly woven surfaces. I use a combination of color and energized brushwork to create a sensuous reality of light and space, not matching a color in nature, rather matching its effect.” Her work is held in private collections throughout the United States. |

Based out of their farm in Mapleton, Illinois, noted furniture and folk art dealer Stephen R. White removes, collects and assembles tin pieces, mostly from commercial buildings destined to be demolished. Artist Lori Daniels then hand mixes paints, resins and glazes for each unique art tin piece, producing a tile-like effect. The ceiling panels date from 1860 to 1900 and represent a rare piece of American architecture and decorative history. Many display botanical or classical designs in the Arts & Crafts, Victorian or Art Nouveau styles. Each panel is a one-of-a kind original, signed and dated. While the antique tin art was originally destined for outdoor use, it is increasingly displayed indoors. If the panels are used outdoors, care must be taken to preserve the finish from further rusting through the application of several coats of a clear sealant. |

Ever since I can remember, I’ve dreamed of being an artist. And...like other young artists, Disney gave me my first exposure to the possibilities. Then in the 60’s, psychedelic posters and hot rod art were probably my first exercises in seriously working from my imagination. Even in the military, I ended up as a staff artist and photographer, my first practical experience as a commercial artist, graphic designer and photographer. For the most part, my commercial work was detailed pen and ink drawings. Because of this, my fine art tended to be loose and less structured. In the early 80’s, I started working with oil pastels. It was during this time my work became more impressionistic. In 2002, I began doing etchings where my line drawing experience came in handy for the initial projects. Before long, I found myself exploring looser, less ridged techniques. I still prefer to work from my imagination. After so many years of creating imagery that had specific requirements, I really enjoy the freedom to create my own reality. Watching an image develop in front of you is really fascinating. My landscapes may be influenced by the desire to escape, to be somewhere quiet and unhurried. My favorite pieces are always the ones that have nothing much going on in them, just open space and an inviting path to nowhere in particular. |

Jeff Koehn is one of the hottest young artists in the United States today. Born in a small Wisconsin town, his first grade teacher was prescient when she told him: “You will be a famous artist some day.” Jeff received his formal art education from the Art Institute of Colorado, where he graduated with honors in December, 1995. While at the Art institute, he received extensive training in pastel, oil and acrylic painting from world renowned artists Doug Dawson, Lynn Kircher and Don Long. In 1995 he was awarded First Place in the national Creative “Geanie” Student Competition. Jeff’s style has evolved from early emphasis on photo-realism with the use of pastels in portraits. His earlier illustrative work has appeared in numerous publications. As he shifted to oil and acrylics, he has become absorbed with the excitement of color and texture, refining his paintings with dry brush techniques that lend both complexity and subtlety to his distinctive style. His influences come from Vermeer’s use of light spilling across his paintings, and also from John Singer Sergeant’s lush portraits. |

Born in Chicago, Ill., but transplanted to Arizona as a child, Nancy Ngo received her B.F.A. degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2001. Nancy's awareness of the play of light and shadow and its effect on color plays an important role in her work today. The dichotomy of the natural desert landscape of Arizona versus the urban downtown environment of Chicago led her to a certain "no rules" style of painting. Her paintings have a certain raw, playful, and sometimes unfinished quality in which the work holds a kind of potential energy, excitement and freedom. Ngo’s work is held in collections throughout the United States. |

Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec in 1964, Natalie Savard is a self-taught artist. After teaching for ten years, she has devoted herself to her greatest passion: painting. The figurative language that Savard favors leaves an important place for her interest in the human figure, even though her subjects live in her dreamlike universe. Her paintings offer spaces where the artist devotes herself to the quest for light and color as a means of expression. An impression of serenity and harmony emanates from her paintings. Savard’s work is exhibited throughout Canada and the United States. |

Ever since he was able to hold a pen in his hand, KC has been making art. Born in Santa Cruz, California, he lived all over the United States. His rather eclectic background includes rehabilitating abused exotic animals in a Buddhist temple, participating as a sponsored skateboarder, working as a skilled carpenter, apprenticing for an architect, working as a graphic artist and acting. Since 2002, KC has focused exclusively on painting. In his words... “Art is a medium that opens the door into the unknown, and provides a platform in which one can explore, indulge and grow.” |

Alexandre Zerbé was born in Montreal, Canada in 1974 and completed his Bachelor’s in Fine Art at Concordia University. The artist’s interest is to follow a continuity in the figurative lyricism of his acrylics. Lyricism because the scenes he depicts always seem to contain a sundry object that appears to the spectator as if voluntarily placed, thereby leaving room for interpretation. He especially enjoys putting emphasis on the impression of décor, often in playful atmospheres. Zerbé has exhibited throughout Canada. His work is widely held in the United States and Canada. |
